About Alt Valley Community Trust
Originally established as Croxteth Community Trust in 1988, Alt Valley Community Trust was founded following the successful occupation of a local comprehensive school to save it from government closure. The charity became Alt Valley Community Trust in 2005, and has since developed from an educational charity into an anchor organisation that makes a significant contribution to the local area, transforming sports centres, libraries, colleges, and community hubs.
Our range of services, resources, partners and experience has made AVCT an invaluable resource for the north east of the city.
“Change comes from small initiatives which work. We cannot wait for great visions from great people. It is up to us to light our own small fires in the darkness.” - Charles Handy
