Education for Equity ~ looking back and moving forward
Thursday 29th April 2021, 14:00-17:00 (15:00-18:00 CET) in Zoom
The number of young people without completed secondary education has almost doubled in recent years. On an increasingly specialised and globalised labour market these young people face fierce competition and risk ending up either in low paid, unqualified work or experiencing long periods of unemployment. Evidence shows that a low level of education goes hand in hand with poor health, lower life expectancy, an under qualified workforce that is not fit for purpose and an underperforming economy. - From UPPSALA UNIVERSITY
Alt Valley's Involvement
One size doesn’t fit all
In response to the current challenges Alt Valley Community Trust have established a Youth Hub to support 16-24 year olds who are not in full time education or employment. The key to this successful initiative is the focus upon meeting the needs of every individual in order to secure long-term successful futures.
